Within the framework of the International Criminal Court’s decision to issue an arrest warrant for the Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir ,the Arab Coalition for Darfur organized a conference parallel to the Arab summit under the title of Darfur and the upcoming Arab summit in cooperation with a number of national and international institutions in the period from 7-8 March, 2009 in Cairo,
to move the stagnant water during the deliberations and discussions to urge the League of Arab States to work hard to resolve the crisis in Darfur and the adoption of effective mechanisms to protect civilians from the residents of this region and save the humanitarian situation. A delegation has been formed of participants in this conference to go to the Arab Summit held in Qatar the end of March 2008 to incorporate recommendations and tips of the parallel conference for presentation at the Arab summit.
